Как правило Программой предусмотрено больше уроков для изучения каждой темы, чем уроков в учебнике. Таким образом, в конце темы всегда есть уроки, которые требуют от учителя поиска дополнительного материала. На одном из таких уроков в 8 классе по теме «Деньги» можно совместить приятное с полезным, предложив учащимся послушать и поработать над современной англоязычной песней «Price Tag» популярной британской певицы Jessie J. Разработанные мною задания к песне направлены на пополнение словарного запаса учащихся, развитие умения восприятия и понимания речи на слух, развитие умения говорения по изучаемой теме (умения аргументировать свое мнение и участвовать в дискуссии).
Before Listening
A) Предложите учащимся подобрать правильную дефиницию к словосочетанию «price tag»:
a) a label or tag that shows the price of the item to which it is attached.
b) the sum or amount of money or its equivalent for which anything isbought, sold, or offered for sale.
c) the price paid to acquire, produce, accomplish, or maintain anything.

B) Today we’re going to listen to the song «Price Tag». Do you know the song with this title? Who’s the singer? What do you know about Jessie J?
Jessica Ellen Cornish (born 27 March 1988), better known by her stage name Jessie J, is an English singer and songwriter. Born and brought up in London, England. After signing with Universal Republic, Jessie J came to prominence following the release of her debut single, «Do It Like a Dude», which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Charts. In 2011, after topping the charts in nineteen countries including the United Kingdom, France, Ireland and New Zealand, with the song «Price Tag», she released her début album, Who You Are, which charted at number two in the UK. Her second album, Alive, was released on 23 September 2013 and reached the top 5 in the UK Albums Chart.
