Variant I

Use the correct form of the verb to be in sentences:
1. Weather ( be) influenced by many factors.
2. The Earth’s surface (be) heated with the sun.
3. The anemometer (be) invented between 1400 and 1700.
4. All the data (be) taken to make weather prediction.
5. The weather for June (be) predicted in May.
6. Weather maps (be) made by weathermen.
7. Snowflakes (be) formed from ice crystals.
8. The weather station ( be) opened 100 years ago.
9. Weather ( be) predicted by meteorologists.
10. Wind speed ( be) measured with an anemometer.

Variant II

Use the correct form of the verb to be in sentences:
1. Air pressure (be) measured with a barometer.
2. The water in rivers and lakes (be) heated with the sun.
3. The thermometers (be) invented between 1400 and 1700.
4. All the data (be) taken to make weather prediction.
5. The weather for March (be) predicted in February.
6. Winds (be) brought with the movements of the air.
7. Clouds (be) formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
8. The weather stations ( be) opened 100 years ago.
9. Weather ( be) predicted by meteorologists.
10. Humidity ( be) measured with a psychrometer.
